two recommendations for now...
the house that jack built: lars von trier joint. about a serial killer, some dark humor and there was one part where i had to pause bc i kept laughing. bunch of fun & interesting kills. ending was awesome. overall a good time.
saint maud: a24 movie for a24 enjoyers. hospice nurse Becomes Catholic and does some weird shit. unstable lonely girl swag movie.
really enjoyed both of these but id place them in my "im glad i watched this but i probably dont need to watch it again" category.
i rarely do it but i highly recommend checking does the dog die for both of these.

martyrs was fun. inside 2007 is pretty fun.
not gory at all but "the celebration" (festen) is a psychologically horrifying and insanely good film. it doesn't hit as hard if you know about it going in so i recommend blind watching but ONLY if you're already someone who likes things that are fucked up

past 3 days i watched gregg araki's teenage apocalypse trilogy i think its called. "totally fucked up", "doom generation" and "nowhere" and i like those alot. Totally Fucked Up was my favorite but i also really love love Nowhere. they're all great i like them alot and James Duval is so gorgeous.
