ceramics, sculptures, anything in the 3rd dimension, really

Sometimes I’ve found myself wanting to use some material on hand as a skeleton or base for a piece, but then realizing I have to bake it in the oven and the non-clay pieces would melt/burn. Are there any oven-bake materials that harden at really low temperatures? Sorry if this question is hyper-specific, I just use improvised or repurposed materials often.

After seeing SlothfulSpectre's thread, I am looking up Blender tutorials myself. I've sculpted some things I'm satisfied with in the past, but never used the shape-constructing tools properly. It's like having fancy Copic markers, but not knowing how to open the lid, so you just tape a cotton ball to one end and use it as an ink brush. Hope that comparison reads.

Either way, I'm finally gonna learn how to use it well, or at least use it the intended way. If I make anything cool I'll update you all.

Be careful if you sculpt larger pieces, I believe the warping from drying may be more likely to crack the surface. Also I sometimes use an inexpensive wet paintbrush to smooth out connections between pieces.
