currently, Venusaur stands pretty mediocre in the National Dex itself, but can be found within National Dex Monotype as a decent enough defensive wall for the types it pertains to.

Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 248 HP / 244 Def / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
- Sludge Bomb
- Synthesis
- Hidden Power Fire
- Leech Seed
Personally, I prefer Venusaur on my grass teams as opposed to my poison teams because he seems to do better tankin hits from those as opposed to on poison runs. I also don't get much use from chlorophyll on poison type teams... but its really the only good ability pre-mega evo.
Then again, that's the same reason I'd rather run it on grass. thick fat from mega evo halves the damage from all 2 effective types against grass teams, and that just. ough. no one ever fuckin expects it chat. its so funny.
