yeah man, the gamecube totes had better crossplats than ps2, what with its 1.8 gig disc size making it so texture, cutscene, and audio quality had to be worse than its full-dvd counterparts. hell, some of the best cross plats of that generation weren't even on gamecube! no gta, no metal gear solid 2, no psychonauts.

uh-huh, the fmv's and 2 hour long exposition cutscenes looked super cool in mgs2. im sure watching those avi's in enter the matrix felt like you were really there in a movie theater!

spare me -- every single xbox port you mentioned was 10x better than the ps2 port too. because of course it was. compare the audio in gta vice city on ps2 and xbox and tell me what sounds better. except for psychonauts who they conned off on Famous Porter of Guitar Hero 5 BudCat Productions

it’s a mid as fuck franchise but that doesn’t stop we love katamari from being one of the best video games ever made.

straight up i stopped playing gamecube because it didn’t have guitar hero

the worst versions of sonic adventure/2 are on the gamecube. which brings me to my argument. dreamcast is the best gaming console of all time period. every game on it was memorable as a classic, even the bad ones. its aesthetics and sensibilities pioneered the look and feel of the entire y2k era. even today, over 20 years later, the console is talked about fondly. and its hidden gems are truly, truly gems. fuck the dvd drive, it didnt need it.

sonic adventure dx sucked but theres no universe where you can argue 2 battle was better on dreamcast. it simply wasnt

it was. because the gamecube couldnt handle the 3d model rendering and lighting the dreamcast had. this caused problems for the gamecube game that you cannot ignore. sure, MAYBE the gamecube fixed things with adventure 2, but it caused more problems than it fixed. i had a better experience overall with the dreamcast version. hands down.
